Mondo

Privacy

Your Worlds are yours. Mondo has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or behavioural tracking. Your saved Worlds remain on your Mac unless you explicitly choose to share one.

Effective September 7, 2026

What stays on your Mac

Mondo stores your Worlds, places, display names, home selection, preferences, and cached weather locally on your Mac. Mondo does not require an account and does not upload this local library in the background.

Weather and place search

When Mondo retrieves weather, the coordinates of the selected city are sent to Apple Weather so Apple can return current conditions and forecasts. Place searches are processed by Apple’s place-search service. Mondo does not create a server-side search history or use these requests for advertising or tracking.

When you share a World

Sharing is always your choice. Mondo shows you what will be included before creating a link. The shared snapshot contains the World name, display names, cities, time zones, city coordinates, ordering, home selection, and display preferences needed to show that World.

The snapshot is stored for 30 days and is available to anyone who has its unguessable link. It does not follow later edits on your Mac. Fresh shared-page weather may be reused by coordinate for up to 60 minutes. If Apple Weather is temporarily unavailable, a cached reading may be shown for up to two hours and is labelled Stale. Names and link codes are not included in the weather cache.

Service providers

Mondo uses Apple for weather and place search, Vercel to deliver the website and shared pages, and Supabase to store temporary shared snapshots and bounded weather-cache records. These providers process data only to operate those features and are governed by their own privacy terms.

Your choices

  • You can use Mondo without an account.
  • You can choose your city manually; Mondo does not request precise device location.
  • You can use clocks and daylight features without weather.
  • You can avoid uploading a World by not creating a shared link.
  • You can remove your local Worlds and places in the app.

To request early removal of a shared link, email lancecj@gmail.com and include the complete link.
